Effects of Chinese Medicine Compound as Additives on Cattle Grown Perforce, Blood Physiological Parameters and Nutrient Digestibility under Hot Environmenmant
To study the effect of traditional Chinese medicine compound on the grown performance, blood physiological parameters and nutrient digestibility of beef carles under high temperature.Twenty-seven jinjiang yellow cattles with an initial weight of210±20kg and eight-month-old were randomly divided into three groups as following high temperature control group (HTC), Chinese medicine compound addtive group Ⅰ (CMA Ⅰ) and Chinese medicine compound addtive group Ⅱ (CMAⅡ).In each group, all cattles were weight on days 1, 21, 41 and 61, and their nutrient apparent digestibility were determined by the method of whole-collected feces at the end of the trail. On days 61,serum samples were collected and blood physiological parameters were measured by commercial available kits. The results show that high temperature and humidity environment caused a increase of rectal temperature and blood cortisol in cattles.Dietary supplementation with two Chinese medicine compounds increased the average daily gain (ADG) of cattles but declined their feed conversion ratio(FCR) comparing to the HTG.On the 60th day, cattles crude protein and crude fible apparent digestibility of CMA Ⅰ were higher by 19.21% (P<0.01) and 7.94% (P<0.05), and the CF digestibility of CMA Ⅱ were higher than them of the HTG.No difference were noticed about the digestibility of EE,Ca and P were noticed in among three groups. These results suggested CMA Ⅰ and Ⅱ relieved heat stress of cattles, and improved their performance.Chinese medicine compound I increased cattles diet apparent digestibility of CP and CF, but dietary supplementation with Chinese medicine compoundⅡ have a more expressive effect on keeping cattles body temperature normal and enhancing their ADFI than Chinese medicine compound Ⅱ under hot environment.
