Simultaneous evaluation of the effects of test articles on the respiratory, cardiovascular and central nervous systems in cynomolgus monkeys using a set of combination of a whole body plethysmography (WBP), a telemetry system and a video system
In guideline for safety pharmacology core battery, the unanesthetized and unrestrained animals are preferable to use, and three Rs (replacement, reduction and refinement) are required for more ethical use of animals in testing.Therefore, we established a set of combination of a WBP, a telemetry system and a video system, and using the system we examined the effects of compounds on the respiratory system (RS), cardiovascular system (CS) and central nervous system (CNS: the general conditions) simultaneously in the unanesthetized and unrestrained cynomolgus monkeys.
