Complete defect closure for gastric submucosal tumors with a purse-string suture method

摘要：

Background: Gastric submucosal tumors (SMTs) originating from the muscularis propria layer can be treated under endoscope.The successful closure of the wall defect is a critical step.This study was to evaluate the safety and feasibility of endoscopic purse-string suture (EPSS) method with an endoloop and several metallic clips after endoscopic full-thickness resection (EFTR) or perforation due to endoscopic submucosal direction (ESD).
