Effectiveness and Mechanism of Priority Pollutant Adsorption by Rice Husk Ash

1 Introduction Effect of nitrobenzene on human health has been well known, and nitrobenzene toxicology have been widely reported in many aspects.Because of its toxicity, nitrobenzene has been placed as one of the 129 priority pollutants by USEPA.There are several methods for removing nitrobenzene from waters, such as advanced oxidation, membrane filtration, ion exchange, and adsorption.High capital and regeneration costs of them, however, have encouraged researchers to look for other types of adsorbents that are less expensive.
