Nighttime accidents are mostly characterized by their severity.Under adverse visibility conditions, especially the risk of fatal pedestrian accidents increases significantly.High beam enables a good driver”s sight, but mostly it can”t be used due to dazzling other road users.In the last years, different technologies to improve driver”s sight have been developed.An essential progress is the functionality ”glare free high beam”.Now it succeeded for the first time to develop a headlamp ready for serial production, which generates high beam by a large number of LEDs: a LED Matrix Beam.Therefore high beam can be produced without movable elements and the functionality will be improved because several segments can be deglared at the same time.
