Application of Reactive Dyes on Chitosan Treated Jeans and Cost Minimization
In this work jean fabric is dyed with reactive dyes.Normally jean fabric have been dyeing with indigo colors.Indigo has the good discharge quality.In other hand, jean is made by cotton and it is very easy to dye with reactive dyes.But reactive dyes are very stable for cellulosic fibers and very difficult to remove it, which may not give the jean good washing effect.The aim to do this work to use reactive dye on jean and cost minimization of dyeing.I want to use polymers like chitosan to treat the fabric, it had studied some related books and some publications in different journals to do a good work.Dyeing method of jeans with reactive color is not difficult because jeans or denim fabric are made of cotton or cellulosic fiber which have very good dye affinity with reactive color.Good washing effect is the specialty of jean fabric which we got in indigo or vat dyed jeans but that effect is difficult to find in reactive dyed fabric.Treatment method of cotton with chitosan are studied to find good washing effect property on jean fabric.Pretreating jeans fabric with chitosan gives the best color fixation.Dyeing in one bath with chitosan gives the good washing effect and good appearance and degree of salt concentration was also reduced.This project will be helpful to dye jeans with reactive dye.This project will be helpful to reduce the dyeing cost of jeans.Most importantly it would be helpful to bring the color variation on jean.
