Internet-Based Inter-Operation Infrastructure for Data Management within an Ecological Accounting System
As part of myEcoCost project supported by the European Commission”s Environment programme,an Internet-based inter-operation infrastructure for myEcoCost environment has been developed,which is applied to deliver the values of ecological impact through the products” life cycle from one operation model to another,predominantly from supplier to customer,to produce ‘ecoCosts’ for products.The Inter-operation infrastructure is implemented as a top-level platform to coordinate the inter-operation among the operation models within the supply chain.The Infrastructure consists of upperware,middleware,and resources.A case study has been conducted via monitoring the flow of ecoCost information of a product over the Internet,which validated the system developed.
