Biodiesel Production from Swida Wilsoniana Fruit Oil Using 1-(4-Sulfonic acid) Butyl-Pyridinium Hydrosulfate Ionic Liquid as Catalyst
1-(4-sulfonic acid) butyl-pyridinium hydrosulfate ionio liquid was synthesized and used as catalyst for producing biodiesel from swida wilsoniana fruit oil.The optimal reaction conditions of the transesterification were 5% catalyst using amount, 12:1 alcohol to oil molar ratio, 160℃ of reaction temperature and 5 h of reaction time. The conversion rate of fatty acid methyl ester (esterification rate) reached 93.2% under such reaction conditions. The physicochemical properties of the biodiesel produced were basically in line with the biodiesel standard of ASTM 6751-03a of America and the standard of 0# diesel of China. The used ionic liquid was retrieved and recycled for six times, during which the catalyst exhibited excellent reusability.
