Numerical Simulation of Heat-Transfer of Falling Film Evaporator in Vertical Wavy Tube
Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations are conducted using the volume-of-fluid (VOF) method to investigate the heat transfer property of falling liquid film evaporator in vertical wavy tube.The individual heat transfer coefficient of liquid film in wavy tube is calculated with different operating conditions and it is found that the individual heat transfer coefficient of liquid film is significantly affected by flow rate,evaporating temperature and liquid viscosity.The applicable liquid flow rate is between 0.038~0.16kg/s for falling film evaporator in wavy tube.The heat transfer of liquid film in wavy tube is enhanced in comparison with that in plain tube due to wavy disturbance.
