Study on the Method for Incipient Fault Detection and Diagnosis of the Wind Turbine Gearbox
Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) is an ideal method for dealing with the vibration signal from gearbox of wind turbine which is non-stationary and nonlinear in both time and frequency essentially,The signal containing fault information were contaminated the noise which two different types of white noise and impact noise, it makes that vibration signal cannot be processed with EMD directly as usual, since it will produce the spurious IMF(Intrinsic Mode Function).The signal has to be preprocessing before implementing EMD.In fact, wavelet filter is perfect one for white noise de-noising and the morphological filter is suitable for impulse interference.In this paper, a combination filter which combined with wavelet and morphological filter is designed for signal preprocessing, and a standard processing program is proposed too.A experimental case shows the accuracy and efficiency of the combination filter and the process program.
