Characteristics of Heat Pump Dryers with Moisture Storage Units

摘要：

　　A desiccant assisted heat pump dryer for batch drying of thermal-sensitive materials is studied in the paper.Based on a brief introduction of its design and working modes, a simplified model is developed and the energy consumption is calculated.It shows that it can save more than 50% of energy in comparison to basic heat pump dryers;the regeneration temperature plays an important role on its performance.
