Effects of Processing Conditions on the Leaching Behavior of Vanadium Slag

This paper take the vanadium slag as raw material by means of salt-roasting treatment. The effects of roasting temperature amd roasting time on leaching behaviour of vanadium slag were studied by XRD and Fluorescence Spectrometry systematically. The results showed that leaching rate of vanadium firstly increases and then decreases with the increasing roasting temperature, and its maximum value is 91.0% when roasting temperature is 860℃;As roasting time increases, leaching rate of vanadium firstly increases rapidly and then doesn”t obviously change. While continuing to extend the roasting time, leaching rate of vanadium has shown a downward trend, and optimal roasting time is 45min.some impurity elements (S, P, Si, Cr and Fe) will enter the solution in vanadium leaching process, the leaching rate of sulfur is the highest, about 60%, however, the leaching rate of other impurities is no more than 30%, leaching rate is little affected by roasting temperature and time.
