Experimental Analysis on the Influences of Magnetic Fields on the Adsorption of Water on Desiccant Materials
In this paper, the influences of magnetic fields on the adsorption amount of water on silica gel, silica gel mixed with gadolinium (Gd) powder and composite desiccant (silica gel impregnated with lithium chloride) were tested.It was found that with the magnetic fields the adsorption amount was decreased, which could be used to enhance the regeneration of desiccant cooling system and reduce the temperature of the regeneration heat source like solar energy and waste heat.
