The Numerical Simulation of Impeller Internal Flow Field of Centrifugal Pump Based on FLUENT
The impeller is the main component doing work in the centrifugal pump.The main mission of optimization is designing high-efficiency impeller which can guarantee rarious requested functions.Fluxion analysis and researches of inner part of impeller has important meaning for exaltating the efficiency of the pump and improving the function of the pump.This paper applies Pro/E to build up a simple model of impeller and 3-D models of the whole impeller.Numerically simulated impeller internal flow field of Centrifugal Pump with fluent.The standard k-turbulence model and SIMPLY algorithm were chosen in FLUENT, GAMBIT, the preprocessor of FLUENT, was used to generate grid of models and grid quality was checked, flow field of fluid were simulated by using commercial code FLUENT.Analyze the speed of centrifugal pump”s impeller and the pressure, get the speed field and pressure field in the entryway of centrifugal pump”s impeller.The study shows Numerical simulation method can really reflect the complicated flow of blade interior and can provide theory basis for the design and improvement of blade machine, The method can be applied in engineering practice.
