Exergy Analysis and Performance Evaluation of Biomass Gasification
Based on an equilibrium RGibbs reactor model, performances of biomass gasification were evaluated by exergy analysis methods while wood, straw and sawdust were selected as feedstock.Exergy efficiencies were acquired under the conditions of biomass moisture content changing from 10% to 30% in weight.Biomass with lower moisture content could gain its largest exergy efficiency at higher gasification temperature;the highest gasification exergy efficiencies of 10% moisture content biomass increased more than 2% compared with that of 30% moisture content biomass, and the highest exergy efficiencies rose more when the gasifying agent temperature went up from 25℃ to 250℃.It shows that gasification performances can be improved by the ways of reducing biomass moisture content and increasing gasifying agent temperature.
