甲状腺功能正常老年人TSH与eGFR的关系研究
Objective:Renal function is influenced by thyroid status. The association of different types of thyroid disfunction with eGFR has been generally reported. Therefore, this study was done/aimed to determine/observe/investigate the association/correlation between renal function and different degrees of thyroid function within a normal range in a larger Han Chinese population. Design and methods:Baseline biochemistry including serum creatinine and thyroxine(TH) was measured/analyzed in 42269 subjects.10859 euthyroid individuals were finally enrolled and evaluated in this study.eGFR was calculated using the Chinese modified Modification of Diet in Renal Disease (CMDRD) equation, while moderate CKD was defined as estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR)<60 ml/min/1.73m2. Result:The mean level of eGFR declined/decreased progressively across the TSH categories.A significant negative correlation was persistently observed between TSH and eGFR in all participants (P<0.001),while positive correlation was found between FT3 and eGFR (P<0.001).There was no significant correlation observed between FT4 and eGFR in all participants, in men only or in women only (P>0.05).Besides,the prevalence of CKD was higher in subjects with TSH in the third(OR=1.253,95%CI 0.810-1.938) and the highest fourth (OR=1.681,95%CI 1.113-2.537) of the reference range(low fourth group). Conclusion:These findings suggest that thyroid function is significantly/noticeable associated with eGFR levels.Low thyroid function, even within the normal range,is associated with reduced eGFR,while high thyroxine levels may result in an increase/ascendent eGFR.
