Prevention of luminous disease of prawns by Vibrio harveyi using ecological technology
Vibrio harveyi always lead to luminous disease of Prawns. This paper, through orthogonal experiments and practical production tests, explores the feasibility of a series of ecological measures aimed at preventing and curing the luminous disease of prawns, including seawater treatment, diet testing, photosynthetic bacteria usage, medical treatment and water quality control, etc.The results showed that these measures were feasible and effective: it was easy and safe to use formaldehyde (HCHO) to disinfect the seawater seedlings and the survival rate of seedlings was high;the following water system management was proved effective: maintaining the water level of ponds at 75% prior to the Nauplius stage, adding water from the Z3 stage till the M3 stage when the ponds were full, replacing 6%-10% of the water on a daily basis from P1 to P5 and 15%-20% of the water from P5 to P8,and adding 2 × 10-6 photosynthetic bacteria a day to improve the water quality;the survival rate was increased by 10%-20% by improving feeding technique-the diet was combined with spiral alga powder, assorted food made in Japan, leaven, brine shrimp, etc.It suggested that the use of foundation food such as the alga etc.be increased and the use of the shrimp slice, BP.be decreased.Adopting the optimal scheme resulting from the orthogonal experiment as an ecological measure to prevent and cure the luminous disease of shrimps was proved very effective in practical production in many breeding fields, with the average survival rate of seedling over 50%, and the average survival rate of seedling was only 0.17% to 9% until the measures were adopted.
