Pragmatics and English Teaching and Learning

摘要：

　　It is English teachers” responsibility to help learners to learn how to understand and use English properly, and that is exactly what pragmatics deals with.So it is helpful for us to use pragmatics in English teaching and learning.This paper gives a brief introduction of pragmatics and some of its theories,and it is going to discuss the application of pragmatics in English teaching and learning.
