Review of the Model to Predict Slip and Fall Probability
Research of slip and fall accidents has become hot topic in the ergonomics and biomedicine fields in recent years.First, the significance of studying the predicting model of slip and fall probability was indicated. Then, intrinsic and extrinsic factors causing slip and falls were summarized and the concepts of available coefficient of friction(ACOF) and required coefficient of friction(ACOF) were presented in the meantime.Based on the traditional model, the research approaches , contents, conclusions of Hanson Model, Barnett Model and W-R Model were analyzed in details. The relationship about the difference between ACOF and RCOF and the slip and fall probability was investigated. Finally, through comparing the advantages and disadvantages of those models, further research was put forward.
