A Novel User-oriented End-to-End QoS Metric Framework
(0) Reliable end-to-end quality of service (QoS) guarantee is essential for broadband mobile Intemet.Conventional QoS metric models are designed for evaluation of network and service performance instead of user experience.These models are based on network measurement results, which can not directly reflect the user experience when using the specific service.In this paper, we bring forward a novel user-oriented end-to-end QoS metric framework.A three-dimensional hierarchical QoS metric model is proposed.In this model, we define a user-experience layer from the perspective of services and user experience.The model is suitable for different kinds of services.Furthermore, the relationship between QoS and quality of experience (QoE) is investigated.A QoS metric framework for Web service is analyzed to validate the framework is feasible and available.
