Impact of Dalian oil spill on Sediment Microbial Community Structure
The 2010 DaLian oil pipeline explosion resulted in a massive influx of crude oil into the DaLian Bay.As the largest marine oil spill accident in China,it inevitably posed a serious threat to local ecosystem balance of Yellow Sea,where has just suffered from world”s largest green-tide in 2008.To date, the exposure and potential effects of spilled oil remain largely unknown. To better evaluate and understand the impacts of spilled oil on sediment microbial community, sediment cores which possess high contamination risk were sampled from 2009 to 2012 and investigated by pyrosequencing.
