Maximizing the Present Value of Profits in a Social Network under Stochastic Environment

  We study how to choose a set of individual s for triggering a process of recommendation for a new product in a social network.The focus is on maximizing the present value of profits in the network assuming that the costs for initially influencing the nodes and the profit gained from every individual are with randomness.We present three stochastic programming models and a genetic algorithm for solving the models.Finally, a numerical example is given.
