Clinical Outcome and Safety Assessment in Patients with Gastrointestinal Malignant Tumor Who Received an Nutrition Support that Added n-3 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids-A Meta Analysis

  systematically review the clinical outcomes and safety assessment in patients with gastrointestinal malignant tumor who received an nutrition support that added n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids,the study Searched Databases of MEDLINE,EMBASE,Cochrance Central register of controlled trials,CNKI,CBM.The search words were Omega-3 fatty acids,fish oil,cancer,turmor,neoplasms.Incorporated all the high quality RCT trials.Used RevMan 5.2 for statistical analysis.Results At last there were 11 studies were included,585 patients were come from five different countries and in different RACES.Most clinical outcome analysis and safety evaluation indicators had small bias,the funnel figure was symmetrical,belonged to high credibility.Meta analysis results showed that the total hospitalization days,ALT,AST in the treatment group were lower than the control group,the difference was statistically significant.But there had no statistical differences in complications such as infection,BUN,Cr.Conclusions: Add n - 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids can improve the liver function and have a positive role on the clinical outcome.
