Analysis of Carbon Emission and Reduction Scenarios of Transportation Industry in Beijing
The development status of transportation industry from 2001 to 2011 in Beijing was elaborated in the paper,and the carbon emissions caused by energy consumption of transportation industry from 2005 to 2011 were also calculated,then the reduction scenarios were analyzed under the different condition of energy utilization structure.The research results show that the carbon emissions from the energy consumption in transportation in Beijing keep growing.The main reason is the large amount of consumption on kerosene and diesel energy.Therefore,the emissions could be effectively reduced by cutting down the utilization of kerosene and diesel,vigorously developing the new energy vehicles and public transportation system.
