The role of Ethoxylation Catalysis in the nonionic surfactant production from renewable raw materials

摘要：

　　The raw materials for the production of nonionic surfactants can derive from petrochemical industry and/ or from the transformation of renewable raw materials. In both ways the role of catalysis is fundamental. In this paper the main results reported in the literature related with the catalysis for ethoxylation of renewable raw materials will be reviewed. The main open challenges for these technologies will be outlined.
