The Design of 3D Origami Based on Tablet PC
A tablet PC is one of the most popular mobile devices in the world now but there were few empirical studies on applying tablet PC to paper folding teaching and learning before.So the aim of this study was to design a 3D paper folding environment with tablet PC and the effect of applying tablet PC to paper folding teaching and learning in elementary school manual work.In this study,a 3D paper folding environment has been developed.The environment based on tablet PC with Android 4.0.3 and Java3D.Some of Huzita-Hatori axioms are implemented.Furthermore,the process of paper folding is visualized.The teacher also can observe the 3D of folding steps from different viewpoints to lower students” learning anxiety and enhance for student”s motivation.
