English/Chinese Multimedia Resources for Teaching Physics
Physclips is a multimedia platform for teaching and learning physics.The platform design is consistent with several evidence-based guidelines for multimedia design.As well as having roles in the stand-alone teaching tool,the individual learning objects of Physclips – animations,film clips,audio-visual overviews and hands-on activities – are freely available for use by teachers.The present paper reports work in progress of an investigation into how these resources can be used by teachers in the classroom and also for self-study,particularly for users with limited English.A number of the web pages that support the multimedia rich overviews are currently being translated into Chinese.
