Relational analysis of students” self-efficacy, self-regulation and help seeking in the context of Internet-based learning environments

This study aims to examine the relationships between college students” self-efficacy,self-regulation and online help seeking in the context of Internet-based learning.Three instruments,the students” Internet self-efficacy,including five constructs (application,searching,communication,metacognition and e-learning) and the self-regulation,including two constructs (low and high self-regulation),and online help seeking were utilized for collecting the responses from 467 Taiwanese undergraduates.The exploratory factor analyses showed that there was adequate reliability in the three questionnaires.Correlation analyses found students” online students” self-efficacy,self-regulation and help seeking to be related to each other.The regression analyses indicated that college students” self-regulation were essential predictors of their self-efficacy.
