Thermal conductivity measurement of GFRP between 50K and 300K based on a GM refrigerator
Glass fiber reinforced plastics (GFRP) is a common material used as cold mass support system in superconducting magnet.In this study,thermal conductivity of GFRP is measured within the temperature range of about 50 K-300 K by employing a GM refrigerator.Three measurement methods of thermal conductivity of GFRP have been adopted.The measurement data,using different methods,matches very well.The measured value of thermal conductivity is a bit lower than that of GFRP reported in references.Initial GFRP temperature difference generated in middle stable process,which is often inevitable in thermal conductivity measurement with a GM refrigerator,is taken into consideration.
