Autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation in children with non-Hodgkin lymphoma
Objective To evaluate the effect of autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation (APBSCT) in children with non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL).Method Four pediatric patients were analyzed retrospectively.Case 1 was a rare location of thoracic vertebral mass with B-lymphoblastic lymphoma (B-LBL).Case 2 was a frequently ileocecal site.But the pathological subtype was mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma.He experienced relapse.They received surgery and chemotherapy.They achieved CR1 and CR2.The others with B-LBL/leukemia and T-LBL received chemotherapy and achieved CR.All of them underwent APBSCT.Results After the end of APBSCT,they were still well in continuing complete remission.Conclusion APBSCT is feasible and safe in children with NHL.It can improve the prognosis.
