High-Dose and Extended-Field Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy for Early-Stage NK/T-Cell Lymphoma of Waldeyer”s Ring: Dosimetric Analysis and Clinical Outcome

The dosimetric and clinical outcomes of intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) for patients with early stage Waldeyer”s ring NK/T-cell lymphoma (WRNKTCL) have not previously been reported.Thirty patients with early-stage WR-NKTCL who received extended-field IMRT were retrospectively reviewed.Despite the large clinical target volume, high dose, and extended field, IMRT yielded excellent target volume coverage and sparing of the parotid glands, resulting in a favorable prognosis and mild toxicities.
