Multi-output Quasi-resonant Flyback LED Driver with Two Stage Transformers

  A current sharing multi-output quasi-resonant flyback LED driver with two stage transformers is proposed in this paper.The primary windings of the 2nd stage transformers are connected in series.In conventional flyback converter with transformers in series,the quasi-resonant control is difficult to realize.By adding the 2nd stage transformers,this problem is solved.Moreover,the magnetizing inductor of the 2nd stage transformer does not affect the operating of the main circuit,thus the inductor could be large,the influence of the excitation current on the output current deviation is reduced.When designing the 2nd stage transformer,the DC bias should be noticed.By utilizing the resonance between parasitic capacitor of the rectifying diodes and magnetizing inductor,the output current deviation could be reduced,and the magnetizing inductance could be minimized.A 100W two-channel output prototype with 0.7A/channel is built up to verify the theoretical analysis.
