In my speech Ⅰ will give a review of rolling methods which will be used in the massive forming and will have a look on the corresponding machine technology.Of course, rolling is most commonly used in steel works for the production of semi-finished products and rolled products, but this area shall not be subject of this publication.Especially stretch rolling and cross rolling can be seen as methods that have established themselves in hot forming.Further developments in the past years aimed at the improvement of work-piece accuracy and reproducibility as well as the optimization of set-up procedures.
