Single Nucleotide Polymorphism of MSTN Gene Exon 1 in Cattle

摘要：

　　Polymerase chain reaction single-stranded conformational polymorphism (PCR-SSCP) analysis was used to identify myostatin gene (MSTN) mutation in four cattle populations.The results show that an A→G synonymous mutation was occur at position 267 in exonl which caused no amino acid change.The A allelic was superiority in the four cattle population, and gene frequency was 0.7500,0.7581, 0.8214 and 0.7000.The polymorphism information content (PIC) is between 0.25 and 0.50, it was in average polymorphism situation.
