Mir-126-3p Regulates Talin2 Involved In the Development of Corpous Luteum

Although clear advances have been made in understanding transcriptional gene regulation during the CL development, little is known about the involvement of microRNAs (miRNAs) in this physiological process.Previously, we found dozens of miRNAs were differentially expressed during the middle and regressed stages in bovine CL, of which miR-126-3p was much more abundant in the middle stage than regressed stage. In the present study, we investigated the potential importance of miR-126-3p in the development of CL.miR-126-3p could be detected throughout the luteal phase, and mainly localized in the large luteal cells during the development of CL in bovine. Moreover, miR-126-3p could target talin2 (TLN2) directly by binding the MRE within 3”-UTR.Further analysis demonstrated that there was an inverse correlation between miR-126-3p and TLN2 during the early and middle stages of CL.Collectively, these studies indicate that miR-126-3p acts as an important regulator of TLN2 and plays an important role in the development of CL.
