A 2.5D adaptive finite element modeling of marine controlled-source electromagnetic fields
In this paper, we implement the numerical simulations of 2.5D marine controlled-source electromagnetic (CSEM) fields by using an adaptive finite element approach.The algorithm is carried out on a sequence of unstractured triangular meshes, which allows for arbitrary model geometries including bathymetry and dipping layers.The error analyses show that the numerical results obtained by our FE method are reliable.
