This building is a bicycle sports stadium having Japan”s first enclosed 250m wooden truck,and located on Japan Cycle Sports Center in Izu city,Shizuoka prefecture.The facility was built for the purpose of the spread of bicycle races,and the training of world-class players.Additionally that is designated as the National Training Center with an adjacent Japanese Bicycle Race School by Ministry of Education,Culture,Sports,Science and Technology,and the stadium for The World Championships by Union Cyclist International.In this article,we report the structural planning,design (Estimation method and distribution of seismic loads on double-layer truss domes subjected to horizontal seismic motions),global buckling analysis and construction methods.
