極大地震動に対する免震構造建物の応答特性と設計に関する檢討

This paper presents the design of base isolation systems for extremely large amplitude of earthquake input motions. The isolated structures are modeled as multi-degree-of-freedom systems. The isolation systems are,(1) linear spring + linear viscous damper,(2) linear sprig + elastic-plastic damper (bi-linear system),and (3) linear or bi-linear spring + inertia mass device system.Three deferent types of earthquake ground motions are inputted in the structure models. The analyses results show the effect of adding different types of dampers:the system with mass inertia devices can reduce displacement responses of isolation layer, without increasing the acceleration responses of superstructure effectively,if properly designed. The author also describes the idea of the systems adopting fail-safe systems,or ”varying vibration form systems” against extremely large input motions.
