拘束鋼板耐力壁の履屋举動に関する研究
A new type of earthquake-resisting steel wall was proposed in this paper.The proposed steel wall consists of a mild steel plate and two pieces of polypropylene plate like a sandwich.The mild steel plate is intended to resist the lateral force induced by an earthquake,while the polypropylene plates to constrain out-of-plane bending of the steel plate.We made and tested six specimens to verify effectiveness of the proposed steel wall.The test results have shown that confinement by the polypropylene plates could effectively prevent the premature buckling of the thin steel plate and assure the steel wall to resist the earthquake-induced lateral force stably up to large deformation.Parallel to the experimental work,analytical work was also conducted to develop a design method for the proposed steel wall.Due to simplicity of lateral force-resisting mechanism of the proposed steel wall,we have found that the yield strength and the ultimate strength of the proposed steel wall can be accurately evaluated by using very simple equations.
