RESEARCH ON CORROSION RESISTANCE OF (Ti,Cr)N FILM DEPOSITED BY ARC PLASMA
The (Ti, Cr)N composite film was deposited on 4Cr13 martensitic stainless steel by multi-arc ion plating (MAIP) in this study, the surface morphology and phase structure of the film was investigated by SEM and XRD measurement, and the electro-chemical corrosion tests for (Ti, Cr)N film sample and matrix sample were carried out respectively in 3.5% NaC1 solution, lmol/L NaOH solution and lmol/L H2SO4 solution. The results show that the corrosion resistance of (Ti, Cr)N film sample in NaC1 solution is similar to that of matrix sample, the corrosion resistance of matrix sample in NaOH solution is improved than that of (Ti, Cr)N film sample, the corrosion resistance of (Ti, Cr)N film sample in H2SO4 solutions is increased by 5.55 times compared with that of matrix sample, and the current density of the (Ti, Cr)N film sample is always less than that of the matrix sample at the same potential. The corrosion resistance of (Ti, Cr)N film deposited by arc plasma increased significantly in acid solution than alkali and salt solution.
