Research on the abrasive resistance of High-Speed steel layer contain W,Mo and Dy element
Carbon steel was firstly conducted W-Mo-Dy penetrating process by double glow plasma surface alloying technology, and then carburized, quenched and tempered, formed high-speed steel layer contains rare earth element Dy.Abrasive resistance was studied by GZTC-01 type friction-abrasion testing equipment, results show that: the abrasive resistance of the surface rare earth high-speed steel layeris increased by 10.2 times, 4.7 times, 7.2 times and 3 times compare with that of T10 steel with strengthening treatmentunder the condition of 300g load and 400# sandpaper, 600g load and 400#sandpaper, 300g load and 1000# sandpaper, 600g load and 1000# sandpaper, respectively.Through these comparisons, the addition of Dy could improve the abrasive resistance of the surface rare earth high-speed steel layer, and the layer has improved the mostby light load and rough sandpaper. The surface appearance of T10 steel with strengthening treatment and surface rare earth high-speed steel layer were furrow after abrasive wear, these furrows were clear and continuous, became coarser and deeper with the increase of roughness of sandpaper.
