Microstructure and Corrosion Resistance of Aluminum Alloy Matrix Coating on CeO2 + Ni60A by Laser Cladding

In order to improve the surface properties of aluminum alloy, we used laser cladding prepared rare earth CeO2 + Ni60A cladding layer on the surface of 6063 aluminum alloy.And did contrast tests with Ni60A alloy coating and aluminum alloy in the microstructure, microhardness and corrosion resistance.The results show that, Ni60A cladding layer added 2% CeO2 is better than Ni60A cladding layer, with more uniform and smaller size grains , fewer structure defects; The microhardness of 2% CeO2 + Ni60A cladding layer is higher than Ni60A cladding layer in the same depth positions, the best hardness is 1180HV0.05,8.4 times as that of aluminum alloy matrix; Electrochemical corrosion tests show that, the corrosion resistance of 2% CeO2 + Ni60A cladding layer is 1.67 times as that of Ni60A cladding layer in lmol/L H2SO4 solution, and 76.6 times of aluminum alloy matrix; In 3.5% NaC1 solution, the corrosion resistance of 2% CeO2 + Ni60A cladding layer is 1.6 times as that of Ni60A cladding layer , and 44.5 times of aluminum alloy matrix ; In lmol / L NaOH solution, the corrosion resistance of 2% CeO2 + Ni60A cladding layer is 1.3 times as that of Ni60 cladding layer and 81 times of aluminum alloy matrix.
