FTIR Mapping for the Degradation of Polylactide/Inorganic Bioactive Materials
FTIR mapping is used to investigate the degradation of polylactide/hydroxyapatite (PLLA/HA) or polylactide/Bioglass (PLLA/BG) composites. The obtained FTIR images were profiled by ratioing the absorbance of the band at 1044 cm-1 to the one of the band at 1755 cm-1 (A1044/A1755) or analyzed with principal component analysis (PCA).The profiled images and the loading plots show that the content of PLLA in the composites are decreased, suggesting the degradation of the materials.Scree map indicates there might be an interaction between PLLA and the inorganic bioactive materials.
