Thermoelectric Performance of PEDOT:PSS Films Treated with Certain Salt Solution
Thermoelectric (TE) performances are systematically investigated for the films of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) treated with aqueous solution of a certain salt, such as CuCl2 or InCl3.The electrical conductivity,Seebeck coefficient versus temperature are determined, respectively. It is found that the maximum conductivity could up to 385.4 S/cm.And the Seebeck coefficients remain stable a1nd range from 11-15.5 μV/K,which is in accordance with the pristine PEDOT:PSS film (12.7μV/K),after the treatment with aqueous solution of certain salts. The maximum power factor was up to 8.0 μW/(m·K2) at 300 K,and the estimated highest ZT was 1.4×10-2,when the films were treated with 1M InCl3.
