A row-following control method for auto-guided rice transplanters
It is difficult to steer a rice transplant very straightly in a paddy field as it always slants,even glides to left or right side.This paper developed a new controller for electric-steered rice transplanters,which integrated PID algorithm and relay control method that it output a fixed angle like a relay to replace PID output if offtrack was larger than 5 cm.Angle amplitudes of the relay were tested both at a basketball filed and some paddy fields.Experiments showed that the controller could make the transplanter run steadily with RMS of offset of 6.1 cm in paddy field under speed of 0.7 m/s.
