Electrochemical Sensor Based Soil Macronutrient Rapid Detection
Soil macronutrient testing is the basis for nutrient recommendation and site-specific fertilization.Conventional soil nutrient detection methods, including soil sampling, sample pretreatment and nutrient determination, are time-consuming and expensive.Rapid lower-cost detection methods for soil nutrient are urgently needed.ISE (ISE),showing obvious advantages in rapid response, inexpensive cost, simple use and easy integration, attracts great attention of researchers. In this study, soil macronutrient nitrate-nitrogen (NO3 --N) was detected applying ISE based method. And deionized water was used as NO3 --N extractant. In order to improve efficiency of soil tests, soil extraction system, consisting of fluidic transfer unit, mixing unit and control unit, was developed.Since soil pretreatment parameters also made effect on the detection results, optimization experiments on soil NO3 --N pretreatment parameters using this method were done. The results of soil pretreatment parameters optimization experiments indicated that 5g soil shaken with 25mL deionized water (soil-to-solution ratio1:5) for 15 minutes without stirring was sufficient for NO3 --N extraction. And the results determined with nitrate ISE were very close to that using conventional method.
