Increased expression of Na+-Ca2+exchanger in patients with chronic atrial fibrillation

摘要：

　　Objective: NCX exists in three isoforms: NCX1, NCX2, NCX3, NCX1 are expressed abundantly in heart.NCX1 exports one Ca2+ ion for the uptake of three Na+ ions.NCX1 extrudes calcium ion after contraction and helps the cardiomyocyte to diastole.NCX1 plays a crucial role in atrial fibrillation during calcium overload.This aim of this study was to measure the mRNA expression levels of NCX1.
