Design of soil sampling information systems for precision agriculture based on GPS

  In this paper, the GPS signal is used as a input to plan soil sampling path and establish position of each soil sample accurately.By this way, we are easy to correlate the soil nutrient data and spatial distribution of farm fields.Some sampling point data in a certain area were selected to obtain the distribution map of soil nutrients by the Kriging difference.After that, C++ Builder 6.0 and related database system are used to develop an intellectual information management system for soil sample storing.Automatic accurate positioning, bar-code generating, information entering and standard management will be finished.The results showed that the preserved samples kept the original nutrient characteristics well, which were saved over 5 years.
