Empirical Study of Rape Seed Value Creation from the Perspective of Industry Chain-Survey Data from Yangtze River Basin
The improvement of customer value creation ability not only depends on industry chain value creation ability,especially strategic segment,but also depends on whether industry chain has a reasonable interest distribution mechanism to form the value creation power of interest subject of industry chain.Meanwhile,the contribution of each segment should be considered in the reasonable interest distribution mechanism construction.Therefore,the analysis of the value creation ability of each segment of industry chain and its contribution to overall value creation is the foundation and a must of how to improve the industry core competitiveness.Based on empirical analysis of household purchasing behavior,we found the value elements of rape seed,built evaluation index system of rape seed value creation and designed the questionnaire for the major components of rape seed industry chain.After analyzing the survey data,the contribution of various sub-elements of seed to the total value has been examined.The contribution rate of internal core value is 35.17%,internal general value 18.13%,seeds appearance 9.76%,brand 14.23%,advertising 8.80%,and service is 13.92%.While the contribution rate of breeder,manufacturer,agents and retailers in value creation of rape seed industry chain is 33.70%,33.85%,17.63% and 14.82% respectively.According to the findings,the countermeasures and suggestions have been brought up for China”s domestic seed industry to improve its seed value creation ability and the value management level so as to enhance the overall competitiveness of the seed industry.
