Epithelioid angiomyolipoma of the liver:imaging features of CT and MR
The purpose of our study was to retrospeCTively evaluate the computed tomography(CT)/magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) imaging features of epithelioid angiomyolipoma of the liver(Epi-HAML),with pathology as a reference. We reviewed the CT/MRI findings of six lesions of Epi-HAML and found that there were no presence of adipose tissue were found in lesions. In addition, recognizing the imaging features of no capsule, hypervasularity with central punctiform or filiform vessels would be a characteristic enhancement for Epi-HAML,which could distinguish Epi-HAML from other hepatic tumors.
